Meet the Staff

George Anadiotis Owner

My love for biking started from childhood. My brother would get mad at me for tearing things apart.  I would modify them so they would work according to my standards.  I would hang out with people who would work on bikes. I would learn things on my own and try to read about anything on bicycles. Through college, I set up a shop in my garage.  I would tinker with my friends bikes as well as those I would find at the dump. I was fed up with going to a bicycle shop where they  treated you like you did not know anything or like you did not have enough money to buy the latest road bike. THEY DID NOT TREAT YOU LIKE A HUMAN BEING!  I decided that some day I would open a bicycle shop that would encourage bicycling of all avenues. I wanted to be able to pass knowledge of bicycling to others. When I graduated college ( Elementary/ Special Education Teacher) I started working at Cathedral Home for Children in Laramie. There I saw that we needed a program that would catch children's attention which could embrace the core subjects but make it enjoyable for them as well as provide hands on. I introduced a bicycle mechanics program that would incorporate math, english, science and history through cooperative learning. This would give them a chance to learn what they were behind in and give them a skill that they could use for the rest of their lives. The program still goes on today. Things in my life made me move to Cheyenne with my family and run my shop from the garage. I would still teach in Laramie and drive to Cheyenne everynight. Word of mouth started spreading about how I could fix bicycles and things started to grow at the house. From the garage it went to the backyard to the front yard. My wife was very patient with me!!! Finally one of my neighbors called the city because he did not approve of it. The business opened up!!!!(go under our history for more)

I have a certificate from the Barnett's institute for overhaul, fitting, and shop mechanic. One of my passions is building wheels. This is an art form that is slowly disappearing. I enjoy Mountain biking and restoring older bicycles.

I started biking about a year after I graduated from high school. Interestingly enough it was an injury that started me bicycling. After watching the 2006 tour de France I picked up an old schwinn from the scrap yard, and even though the frame was way too small I started to ride it at night. It wasn’t too long before I needed work on the bike so a friend took me to Rock on Wheels where I met George. We quickly became good friends and he let me borrow his road bike, and I rode my first 50 miler in the 2006 Ride For Sight. Soon thereafter I bought my first new road bike. Bicycling has become my absolute favorite hobby and I hope everyone can enjoy it as much as I do. Whether it’s a weekend ride, a metric century, flying down the face of a mountain, or commuting to work every day, bikes are great.
I attended Barnett’s Bicycle Institute and earned my certificate in Bicycle Repair and Overhaul. I usually stick to road racing but I dabble in trail biking and all-mountain biking.
